Mlyn Kolárovo is a family-owned company based in the heart of the fertile Rye Island region. Since 1994, it has been processing grain from regional growers into flour, flour mixes and other milling products sold under the Vitaflóra brand. Today, products made in Kolárovo are used by households and professional businesses across Slovakia and throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
The company’s portfolio includes traditional wheat flour, rye and spelt flour, semolina, breadcrumbs and ready-made flour mixes for preparing popular dishes. Vitaflóra is also known for its “sunshine flour”, a name inspired by the sunny climate of Rye Island and the region where the grain is grown.
Mlyn Kolárovo builds on the region’s rich milling heritage while using modern technologies for cleaning, processing, packaging and storing grain. International certifications and rigorous controls throughout the production process help ensure consistent quality and food safety – from the arrival of the grain to the finished product.
Our mission is to promote Slovak manufacturers and service providers. We show that buying Slovak products makes sense, that they provide quality, a good price and value. We present the essence of Slovak manufacturing through the story of the production process. The main ambition is to help products penetrate other markets abroad.
We use our communication channels and videos to show how products are made and of what kind of quality in Slovakia. In our project, we focus on Slovak quality, competitiveness and the export potential of domestic products. We support a broad spectrum of producers, from iconic favourites like Chrumky and Horalky, through beverages, wine and beer, to innovative products and traditional Slovak products, such as the fujara and bryndza cheese.
